I also feel like everyone needs to know how sweet and amazing E. is because she sent me a birthday card in the mail, a morning text, a facebook message, a tweet and a tumblr message. <3 <3 <3
WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?
It seems cute until the doors open and then Hazel and Gus are LITERALLY ripped apart.
No. Just no.
Crabtree: I haven’t seen one of those since my training day.
Murdoch: Training… day?
Hans as Frozen’s Villain
The thing is, Hans is not a unique villain, nor is his story. We see it often in Disney movies, where the villain is someone our hero/heroine trusts or believes to be good. Hans, Mother Gothel, Scar. Even Ursula, Clayton and Judge Frollo to some extent. The only difference is that Frozen is the first time that we are not privvy to the villains’ ulterior motives. We find out the same time Anna does.
The scary thing is, these villains are real. So often the “villains” of our lives will turn out to be the people we already know, people that we trust. It’s easy to dismiss Rapunzel’s trust for Mother Gothel, or chastise Ariel for trusting a creepy seawitch, but from THEIR perspective, there was nothing wrong or sketchy. THAT is what makes Hans story special. It reminds us that perspective is everything.
I’m not sure if this ramble made sense. I wish I could express it more articulately. But there you go.
